Cons of buying BMW R90S, R100, and R75 mufflers:1. Cost: Original BMW mufflers can be quite expensive compared to aftermarket alternatives.
2. Availability: Due to their age and rarity, finding the correct muffler for your specific model may require some effort and patience.
3. Maintenance: Original parts may require more frequent maintenance than aftermarket alternatives, due to their age and exposure to the elements.
Conclusion:If you're a dedicated BMW enthusiast looking for an authentic and high-quality exhaust system for your classic bike, original BMW R90S, R100, and R75 mufflers might be worth the investment. However, if you're on a budget or prefer a more maintenance-free option, aftermarket alternatives can offer a more cost-effective and convenient solution.
Recommendation:If you're committed to the original BMW experience, consider purchasing the correct muffler for your model from a reputable dealer or online marketplace. Be prepared for potential maintenance requirements and the higher cost compared to aftermarket alternatives. If you're looking for a more budget-friendly option, explore aftermarket exhaust systems that offer a similar fit and sound, while providing potentially lower maintenance and cost requirements.
Is just an estimate. I bought these to use on a R90s so they are 38mm the left side has a couple of light dents that are more on the sides.
These have never been installed and are factory clean inside. Unfortunately there is a dent on the right muffler on the top at the weld seem. The chrome work is top notch.
Added some full sun pictures taken today. Yes there are some dents, but the bright chrome work almost makes them disappear. I purchased these from an airhead restorer who had the EPA script removed and then re chromed.
