HISTORY: These pipes were made by several vendors for Honda as OEM, this particular one is SANKEI Honda, and came standard equipment. Early on, these pipes had no bottom clean out cover, and later on they installed the cover plate designed to be removed allow excess moisture expelled. No rust out detected at all. Sorry, no head pipe, clamp, guard, screws or bolts included.
This is a decent runner part, Not concourse part. Please study photos. This is an EARLY XL185 pipe, as it has NO CLEAN OUT COVER. NOTE: I have also seen 2 types of end caps, a straight out version and bottom exit style, this one is the condition: This muffler despite its outward appearance, in my opinion it exemplary condition for USED.
If you are looking for a steerable example, might consider this one. Personally, I've rarely seen one not rusted out. These particular pipe designs were famous for rusting out completely in a very short period of time. It is not concourse by any means, but certainly a nice example.
It does have light surface rust here and there, scratches, paint issues. Nevertheless, this muffler will fit certain Early XL125s too. Thus I rely on you, the end user to ascertain if this muffler is correct for and your application. take note: No clean out, Honda Code HM427, SANKEI 2045, SPECIAL NOTES This pipe is an early XL185S, 1979-'80 and it a code its original part number most likely 18300-427-671.
It is not often to find one without a clean out cap. No dents on the end cone. Either way, they still all rusted out.
