Pros of buying a 18300-MKE-A01 Honda CRF450R exhaust pipe:1. Performance Enhancement: This aftermarket exhaust pipe is designed to increase the engine's performance by reducing backpressure and improving exhaust flow. This can lead to better acceleration and power delivery.
2. Sound Improvement: The exhaust pipe is known for its distinctive sound, which can be an attractive feature for many riders. It can also help to reduce the drone that can sometimes be associated with stock exhaust systems.
3. Aesthetics: The new exhaust pipe can give your CRF450R a more aggressive and customized look, making it stand out from other bikes.
4. Durability: High-quality exhaust pipes like the 18300-MKE-A01 are often made from materials that are more durable than the stock exhaust system, reducing the risk of damage and the need for frequent replacements.
Cons of buying a 18300-MKE-A01 Honda CRF450R exhaust pipe:1. Cost: Aftermarket exhaust pipes can be more expensive than the stock system. While the performance and sound improvements may justify the cost for some riders, others may be put off by the higher price tag.
2. Installation: Installing an aftermarket exhaust pipe can be a complex process that requires specialized tools and knowledge. If you're not comfortable doing it yourself, you'll need to pay for professional installation, which can add to the overall cost.
3. Noise Regulations: In some areas, loud exhaust pipes are regulated. If you live in an area with strict noise regulations, you may not be able to use an aftermarket exhaust pipe that produces a louder sound.
4. Warranty Issues: If you have a warranty on your CRF450R, installing an aftermarket exhaust pipe could void that warranty. You should check with Honda or your dealership to see if this is the case.
Ending Conclusion:The 18300-MKE-A01 Honda CRF450R exhaust pipe can offer significant performance and sound improvements, as well as a more aesthetically pleasing look for your bike. However, these benefits come at a cost, both financially and in terms of installation complexity. If you're comfortable with these drawbacks and you're looking to enhance your CRF450R's performance, this aftermarket exhaust pipe could be a worthwhile investment. But if you're on a tight budget or you're not keen on the installation process, you may want to stick with the stock system.
Rivets were removed from the mid pipe to assess damage. I thought could possibly pound the bent in mid pipe out, but was afraid of messing it up further and bought a new one.
The packing is still in good condition. No bolts included. Muffler has a bend or twist in the mid pipe and dent on end cap. It still functions, but sits slightly crooked when installed.
