This muffler has been welded at the front pipe area that you can see best in the last photo.

It was a decent weld and it does not leak, although I would grind away the excess and repaint it to make it look a little better. This muffler is in good shape as the photos show, but it could use some touching up.

The packing material inside may need to be replaced, it feels a bit heavy and it rattles a little bit.
